About us

It started in our kitchen.

We're Deepak and Samiksha. We wanted a better everyday snack, couldn't find one we loved, and started making our own.

Why we started.

We were trying to snack cleaner, and wanted something better than the highly processed snacks most of us reach for.

Roasted makhana seemed like the answer. But a lot of what we found was made with palm oil, or simply had a lot of oil in it. Even packs that said olive oil often felt heavy and overly processed. It wasn't only about which oil was used. The amount of oil and the processing made the snack feel much heavier than we wanted.

So instead of compromising, we started making it ourselves, roasting makhana at home in pure olive oil, so it feels lighter, cleaner and easy to enjoy every day.

Our flavour story

One flavour at a time.

Salt & Pepper makhana pack
Where it began

Salt & Pepper.

We started simple, with salt and pepper. It was good, but we got bored of it quickly.

We wanted something that felt closer to home.

Pani Puri makhana pack
The one we could eat every day

Pani Puri.

So we asked ourselves: what could we happily eat every single day? The answer came straight away. Pani puri.

It's there when we're happy and when we're sad. It's part of our celebrations and our low days alike. So why not put it into makhana?

Still our house favourite.

Lemon Chilli makhana pack
Two extremes, in balance

Lemon Chilli.

Next we wanted something tangy, because that's how we like it. And spicy, too.

Tangy and spicy sit at opposite ends, but in the right proportion they come together beautifully.

Peri Peri makhana pack
And then, the heat

Peri Peri.

Finally, something properly hot. Peri Peri is for the days you want a snack that bites back.

One of the handwritten sample pouches we shared at Ganesh Chaturthi
"A little crunch for your craving."
With Bappa's blessings

Ganesh Chaturthi 2026.

Before selling a single pack, we wanted Ganpati Bappa's blessings, and honest opinions.

So at Ganesh Chaturthi 2026 we handed out handwritten sample packs to our neighbours, to see how people reacted: whether they liked it, and what they felt about it.

Today we roast in small batches and deliver every Saturday and Sunday.
